Elliptical Bump Trap, Rotary Evaporator, 24/40 Top Outer Jt, 24/40 Lower Inner Jt. Rotary evaporator bump trap is used between the vapor tube and evaporation flask on a rotary evaporator to prevent contents of the flask from being drawn into the condenser in the event of “bumping”. Unique elliptical shape provides large trap volume while decreasing the overall length when compared to standard spherical designs. His allows the use of larger recovery flasks in a rotary evaporator. Traps have a 24/40 top outer joint and the listed size of lower inner joint.

The Buchi V-850 Vacuum Controller is a stand alone valve unit for operation with external vacuum systems, such as the Buchi V-700 vacuum pump which works with the R-210 rotovap system. The easy-to-operate V-850 units are equipped with a single control knob and a large graphic display screen with intuitive menu guidance and six selectable language options. The controller features a solvent database, a timer function for process termination, and a LabVac function for control of laboratory vacuum systems. Units are equipped with a USB port and RS-232/RS-485 interfaces. The integrated aeration valve and the precision pressure sensor are resistant to chemicals, making the controller suitable for numerous applications in the lab.
